Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38

Hello all, new to this site so sorry if this post isn't in the right place.

Can anyone recommend a newer improved version of the Panasonic lumix DMC-FZ38. My partner was given it by his father and found that its a really good compact camera for its age. I'm now looking to buy a similar camera but of course newer and improved. I don't want to spend a fortune and it doesn't have to new on the market. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

Welcome to the site Rebecca. If you enjoyed the fz38 then maybe look at the latest in the range which are the fz82 and the fz330. Both are excellent and offer different lens options.
