My wife is looking for a new compact camera for xmas I would like to get her a half decent one (so I can have a go myself when I dont have the dslr with me or at hand) :D

Someone suggested (not Here) that the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 was very good.. now at £200 + it is a little bit over my budget but if this was an excellent buy I could stretch ...

Anybody have any thoughts or own one.. tried one etc.. I have looked at the reviews which seem pretty good but nothing better than the thoughts of a TP tog

My secretary has the TZ10 and she raves about it! Must say, from what I've seen, it produces some cracking shots!

My old TZ3 is at Jessops hopefully being condemed so might be tempted for the upgrade myself for wife

I have been debating about getting the TZ7 or TZ10 for the last couple of months and still not decided!!

The problem I have is that I want to mainly use it to take pics of my 9month old son and it will be mainly use indoors.

Most compacts are very good in low light and fast moving objects- ie my son and dont want to end up with loads of blurring pics of my son.

Anyone with either TZ would like to comment on low light/fast objects photos?

Thanks

Gary

Forgot to add.

Others I've considered are Canon 300HS and 1000HS which apparently good for low light situations but all the reviews I've read on all 4 models say low light photos isnt very good
