Panasonic lumix

Just after any opinions views or experience anyone may of had on the Panasonic lumix 24x zoom apparently it's the equivalent of a 22-500!! Could be wrong.. There seems to be a few different models starting at around £215, My father in law was talking of getting 1 so I thought I'd do some digging to find out a bit more!!

My sister has just bought something like this but I can't be sure it's that exact model. Deffo a Panny and looks like that. Anyway... hers seems good, nice bright EVF and pretty much a joy to use (I got the hang of it straight away as I have a GF1 and a G1) and IQ seems ok too.

She got it to take on holiday as she finds carrying a DSLR + two lenses a hassle and her compact doesn't give good enough IQ.

Got both the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 and the FZ38 both take great photos. The FZ38 has the added advantage of taking pictures in RAW format. Go for the FZ range if a bridge camera is not too large for your needs.

I've had the FZ20, FZ30 and FZ38 (or 50 in some parts) and found they were all very capable cameras. I sold the FZ38 to get a Samsung with a longer zoom and instantly regretted it. IQ on the FZ38 was much better, features were much better and build quality was brilliant. Was going to get the FZ45 but decided on the DSLR route instead.
