I have noticed that Argos and Currys are selling these at £149 (although you get a £20 gift card from Argos). Does anyone have any experience of this or similar cameras? My Nikon P300 died on me today and I need a replacement compact asap. Any thoughts would be greatly apprieciated, Sarah

My girlfriend has had one since April last year (on my recommendation) when she paid £270 or £280 from Currys, which was a good price at the time since Jessops and many others were asking £329. If it ticks your boxes on features then I think that at £149 it represents terrific value. A £20 gift voucher on top is just added bonus. You can see the price history here....
I did borrow it once for a TP trip to London when I couldn't be bothered to drag my heavyweights around and it produced some decent results - for a compact.
