Took the Panasonic TZ35 to New Brighton Beach today, managed to get some good clear Video. But struggled to get any decent photos, it was very bright sunshine, so I struggled to see the screen. I could not make anything out in the LCD screen, so I could not see if I had anything in focus. I have not put the photos up for critique, just showing of the decent zoom on the little Compact that's all. I think the Camera could benefit if it had an EVF and if it was able to shoot in raw. I have now got my eye on the TZ60, as this has both Raw and an EVF.
As I could not see the screen I could not tell, if everything looked OK or if it was going to over or under expose. Most were over exposed, while others were under exposed. I could have possibly saved some with Raw I think.
Yes I know the composition is off, but not after critique just showing of the 24mm wide angle.
Yes I know I cut the top off, but again I am not looking for critique, just showing it at 480mm.
It's an OK camera for the beach, and other such places where it may get damaged by, water/sand/dropped left behind, or even stolen. As it was a little cheapo Camera, it's ideal for throwing in a bag, and not worrying too much.
