Filled card up over the weekend and still had an hour and a half to go with lots happening. Then i rememberd when i brought the battery grip for my D80 about 2 years ago, when i was fitting it there was a little space to put the battery door in and i thought..hmmm ill put a spare SD card in there instead of the door. only a 1 gig and then forgot about it. evening saved. so if you have a D80 or D90 there is a place for a spare card. Not sure about other battery grips. :):):D

Im always prepared and have too many GB for the occasion, but its a fancy idea you have there, as a real emergancy

card wallet with like 20 somat gb in it, also 1d has a backup 16gb sd

mate keeps a few cards in a pouch on his keys - must start doing that

4 x 16gb cards, plus 5 x 4gb cards and 4 fully charged batteries means I don't usually run out

Last time I was caught short I found my other memory card in my other camera.

Well I never remove the grip from my 400D so I keep the battery door in the camera retail box.

I don't know.. Maybe it's an age thing..

But...

I tend to just put stuff like that in my pockets. :p

i have a little handbag from jessops to carry my spare cards and battery....and the camera when it rains or in the car boot...
its a dinky lickle thing and everyone goes...boo hoo when they see it

step right up and call me speedy

:bonk:

It's a good thought but have you seen the cost of a battery door for a 5D2, I'll stick to leaving the battery door in there and the I always know where it is.

Mind you CF cards don't fit in that slot anyway :D

i had a problem on a rally i had to sort there and then, so grip came off, mini battery had to come out, i was bloody relieved to find i put the door in the door holder of the grip, otherwise the battery compartment would have been full of dust!

Cards go in back, in card wallet, and i carry a spare 4gb in my £££ wallet too
