Not sure if this is the right place to ask but hey ho.

Can anyone recommend decent and easy to use (and preferably free) software to make panoramas? It has to work with Vista.

Thanks.

Many Canon's come bundled with some stitch software on the support disk so it might be worth a look before trying anything else.

I am not sure you will be happy with totally free software for making pans, they are rather limiting in what they can do, as are many of the paid fore variety.

The most popular amongst serious pan makers is PTGui. Good for everything up to 360x180.
I use PTAssembler (I am not into 360x180)
Both of these programs are very adaptable but come with something of a learning curve. But you will be able to grow with them.

Another vote for Autostitch. Free and easy. Occasionally it's license may 'run out' - but it's just to encourage you to download the latest and greatest executable.

A few examples of my panos on Flickr...

Have you tried the panorama feature in Photoshop (if you have it)?
