IQ...Same, I believe.

GX1...EVF, expensive Heath-Robinson add-on, integral in G3.
GX1....no flippy out screen, essential IMVHO.

Seems a no-brainer, or is it just me :shrug:

I agree the GX1 is overpriced, but that's because it's just arrived, I have a G3 and love it, for the money now it's fantastic value.

Mathers have GX1 body for £449 btw

It's because it's new. Give it a few months and the price will drop considerably. The Fuji X10 is already 100 quid cheaper than when released.

Also it is worth note that CameraPriceBuster only lists Wex, Jessops and Jacobs on their list. None of them are the cheapest shops usually. Amazon have the body only for £499.

Give it a while and it will drop in price.

You can pick up the GX1,14-42 and 14 F2.5 for just under £550 from Panamoz.Used them 3 times recently and delivery and service has been excellent.

Bear in mind that any drop in price in the future has to be balanced against the Panasonic Lightroom offer that ends tomorrow - effectively you get a free Lightroom or sell it on here for (usually) £100. That makes the camera a reasonable £349 if you buy from Mathers ie. cheaper than the G3!!
