Whilst looking through my pics on my HD I noticed something strange with a pic taken 3 years ago in a church in frankfurt...

This next pic was taken in the same minute after the first

Looks like a droplet of liquid or a speck of dust  Could have been some kind of flare also?

Nah, it is either the dying echo of the wrong note on the 32-foot pedal bombarde, or the expletive from the organist when he played it.....

I had a similar shot in a little church in Novgorod Russia, very creepy when flicking through the photos, it must have been very dusty in there though!

As a scientific paranormal investigator
I would say that is a reflection from "somewhere"

As a part time "ghost buster" I will
That is a classic "orb shot"
and a cool one at that.

You will of course get
other answers.

Was that a raw file and can you post
up a large crop of the " orb" if it is?
Cheers

An image of an ORB, said to be the first part of the manifestation of a spirit or ghost.
Its not unusual to catch one on a digital camera, the skeptics will say a light flare, or a speck of dust, or even an insect!.

Nice capture, would love to capture at least one orb before i kick the bucket.

Best regards Paul

go somewhere damp and dusty and take some pics.. sorted

Good plan but it doesn't work like that
the damp settles the dust :D

I have taken ( and seen others take) "unexplained" images in
all sorts of environmental conditions.
Make of that what you will.............

even living tv's 'most haunted' gave up on the idea that orbs are paranormal.

apparently (according to wiki) they are more likely to happen with compact cameras than SLRs.

I have never watched "most haunted" or any other
programmes that "glamorise" or "sensationalise"
paranormal investigations.

And of course Wiki is 100% accurate ;)
I'm like you in one respect never believe everything that I read

That's a camera virus...

 That's why I don't watch those type of programmes :D

I think it's programs like that ,make people sceptics.
My wife is watching true movie's at the moment (Steven Kings Storm of the Century) and actually thinks there is some truth to it because it's the true movie channel.
Yet She pooh Pooh's anything paranormal .

I have had a couple of things happen to me to be bloomin open minded about things.

Its definately light refrating off some dust .........theres no such thing as ghosts

Aye, Most Haunted used to make me chuckle, especially ole Derek, however, this nearly killed me:

It's a G-G-G-G-Ghost!!!!!

I would say it was some kind of flare, because if you look closely on the two images, there are some more of these 'orbs' around, but fainter, and different sizes. I dont think that this could be a ghost, however I know that people can make of it what they like!

Orb's.....:LOL::LOL:

I liked the idea of Orb's but had to rule out dust, So.. i took a picture of the corner of the living room,no Orb's, so i got my self two cushions and slapped them both together and took a picture in the same corner and low and behold 100's of Orb's...

Its dust.;)

Try it............

most people that try and persuade you that there is such a thing as paranormal are just like these guys.. they are just having a laugh. And who can blame them? There are so many gullible people out there

It looks like lens flare, because on the first image towards the right of the frame there is another "orb" but fainter

I could also be dust.

have you cleaned your sensor recently?

:)
