They're great captures Geoff. Was that Baader solar continuum filter ? How did you attach it to the lens ? Works much better than the projection images I took.

I think you did allright mate. Can't be easy to shoot.

It wasn't the more expensive solar continuum filter, just the basic Baader AstroSolar filter. I bought an A4 sheet to make a filter for my Celestron NexStar 114 Telescope and had a bit left over.

I found an old filter that could be stepped to 58mm and using a piece of card with a circle cut out of the centre I made a simple screw on filter for my S100FS. With it fitted it is quite easy to use - crude but effective.
