I keep saying I going buy some cutters and just leave 2 or 3 perches haha!

How many times do you get a great shot only to get home and see a pesky branch in the way, it all adds to the fun I guess?

My pet hate is the arrow effect branches through the head in the background or even worse the one you don't notice when you think you got a great shot and it blocked by a reed or something you shot through and the image is blurred lol!
 
It would have made a great shot.It would be extremely difficult to clone out that briar ,I doubt if the the best could do it.

Go route 1..the secatuers.I carry a pair. I'll bet it's around there regularly. Many of those who are at steam loco locations have them,as long as it's just the likes of brambles, grasses or nettles it's not a problem.
 
I have never been in that situation, always perfectly posedon an ideal perch! No OOF things in teh way either;)
