Paypal advice please !!!

I just sold some items on our classified section and although some of the money is showing on my paypal account should i wait to send the item thats been paid for until the money clears in my account? Any advice appreciated as i have never used paypal before.

Is this a sale to one individual?
 
Sorry mate i should have been clearer. The money from one of the buyers is showing in my paypal account.
 
:thumbs: It makes no odds whether you wait to send the goods or not as Paypal can claw it back* at anytime in the future if they so desire, should their be a dispute.



* unless the payment was made as a "Gift"
 
So basically i should send the money as it will appear in my bank account and as long as there is no dispute that should be the end of the matter. Sounds good to me. What if a year down the line the buyer decided he wanted his money back? I take it this can't happen?
 
As Flash In The Pan said, if after 90 days there is no dispute or claim made then the money is yours so to speak. Up until then Paypal can reclaim the money whether it's sitting in your Paypal or Bank account. You may as well withdraw it :)

Personally if the money has been received into your PayPal account I think you should send the item. Whether or not you move the money into your bank account is for you to decide and has no bearing on the transaction.
 
Thanks guys just a wee bit worried about sending stuff when the money's not in my bank account. I will send the items in the morning. That will save the buyer waiting. Cheers

You have to transfer the money from your paypal account into your bank account yourself.It does not go automatically.It just sits with your paypal account until you do this
 
What you can do is to apply PayPal TopUp Card.
As you can use the money in ** paypal account from the card.
So doesnt need to wait the money to transfer to bank account to use it ;)
 
is this about e-cheques...
if so then the transaction is not certified until the money hits your paypal account from theirs, as there is no card backup from the sender of the money
just like a normal cheque...they can bounce.
