My daughter bought me the Pink "So What " album for christmas. I put the cd into the drive and it goes to autoplay. The cd has the first song showing the video which is great however oce this first song has completed the player closes and there is no listings for other songs on the cd. It plays fine on a cd player but not on my pc where i want to play it just now.Any ideas--im using windoze media player.

Its possible the CD has DRM on it (Digital Rights Management) which is stopping it from playing on your computer.
Have you tried playing it with a different program such as Winamp or VLC ?

Probably has something to do with it being Pink :p

OK..playful joking aside...I do believe there are some CDs out there with extra content (such as videos) that won't play easily on PCs. Might be worth trying WinAmp or similar to see if it is Media Player, or if it is the CD! It might even mention it on the reverse of the case :)

Does the CD have any anti piracy software on it???

I have a Natalie Imbruglia CD which has Cactus Data Shield.

It will probably mention it in the booklet.

Ah yes, that reminds me Bazza...a couple of years ago Sony put a new type of protection on some of their releases, but the media condemned it so they quickly stopped putting it on them! It was quite big news too!

The cd comes with DirectX--is it worth installing this to see if it does anything.

A readme file states to copy contents onto the hard drive and play from there so that might be the option. This suggests that it isnt protected. The 1st song and video plays fine but then just closes after that.

Sounds wierd ... all CDs should play in any pc as the drm should only stop it from being copied try what Diabolos says and try VLC player
