Anyone using a Peak Design Slide with Pro Plate?

Looking for something a bit different from my BR and this looks pretty good. Just wanted to know if anyone has used the pro plate with RC2 Manfrotto head? What I understand is that there are 2 strips you attach to the plate to make it work with RC2? Just wanted to know if anyone can comment on the fit and how durable the clip is once these parts have been attached?

Also - the little clips you attach - once the strap is off, do these hang about in the way?

Hi, Use thePD Slide Camera Strap and the PD Clutch hand strap and both IMO good products, like the hand starp as you alter the tension even when it is round the hand.

I don't have the pro plate but do have the slide strap and would highly recommend it.[/QUOTE

Do these slide straps make a big difference for comfort, whats the heaviest gear you can use or have you used on them? I'm thinking of buying one for my D750 & 70-300mm lens. Any thoughts appreciated.

Also, JJ! any thoughts are you using with the D750

At the moment I use it on a Fuji x100 and Fuji xt10 not sure if I would feel safe with a heavy body and lens and for that weight would probably use a black rapid if I still had a dslr.

I thought the new Slide was designed for bigger and heavier DSLRs?

I thought the same. I have ordered one anyway to have a try and to see if it's suitable. The heaviest I would use would be the D750 and Tamron 70-300mm VC.

I have the PD Pro clip and it's been fantastic this week walking around the levels with my large backpack with 500mm lens and the clip on my left rucksack strap and my d810 and 300mm PF hanging off it and worked a treat, so far very impressed, cannot comment on manfrotto but it did come with th 2 pieces you fit to make it manfrotto compatible?

I seen a video of the clip failure, do you know on which version? I think it's the original but theres a Version 2 out now and the one I have ordered. If it's not suitable it will be going back.

Edit: The one in link is the leash, I assume the anchor points are the same though. To me, looking at some of the comments and photos of strap it does seem like wear and tear, although I wouldn't be happy with it failing.
