Hi,

Got to drop someone off at Manchester airport tomorrow so I was thinking I might then head over to the peak district with the camera.

Anywhere in particular you'd recommend on the Glossop/Stockport/Ashton-under-lyne side of the Peaks?

Alternative is to go to Wales and take the tent...

Chatsworth Country Fair starts tomorrow, might be worth the extra miles, lots of photography opportunities there, depending what sort of photography your into :)

The heather is very scenic at present so most locations are good. I am further east than your remit but Lady Bower and surrounding area is not much further than Glossop.
 
Winnats pass and Mam tor are 2 great locations and very close to each other as well
