Peli 1510 Vs Hardigg Storm Case 2500?

i can offer a view on the peli 1560 which is slightly bigger. its solid as a rock build wise..

i use foam in mine so cant comment about dividers. handling is pretty good, it does have really low ground clearance when on the wheels though but on smooth surfaces this isnt an issue.

Go Peli I have 2 and they are almost bulletproof.

The Peli's also have a special valve that equalises the internal and external pressure so if stored in an aircraft hold you don't get condensation in the case.

I've got a Pelin 1400 and just got a Peli 1600 the size of a small suitcase.

Not cheap but the best you can get :D

Looking for a bomb proof travel case for my equipment and have kinda narrowed it down to these two, leaning towards the Storm at the moment having seen these videos: http://www.waterproof-casesjitpak.co.uk/index.php/videos/battle-of-the-brands-videos

Can anyone got either of these cases offer real world opinions, particularly interested in what/how much you can fit in (with dividers) and ease of handling.

Thanks

They are literally the same thing so don't be stressing out about which is better so save yourself the aggro and buy either one. You won't be disappointed.

I have 2 1D bodies, a 300mm, 70-200, 24-70, 17-40 other small bits and bobs (memory cards etc) in mine. It's packed full at that though and you can't get anything else into it.

got a 1510 had it like 5 days and love it

if you get a 1510 get dividers and the lid organiser I change mine around soooooo much (it'll take 2 bodies, 3 primes, 2 lights, mounts and lightstands OR 2 bodies all lenses bottle of water and lunch)

Not dissimilar to the type of kit I would be looking at fitting in it.

Thanks for the replies

I've moved from Peli to Storm as they are lighter. Not always an issue but as I got mine to check it, it can matter. Incidentally, they are now owned by the same company.

I found this too.. looks to be a little bit cheaper..

www.casemarket.co.uk

actually once you factor in postage on the rightcase site theyre about the same. for example the cases i own..

on the 1300 its..

casemarket - £45 ex VAT (no foam)
rightcase - £39 ex VAT (no foam)

and the 1560..

casemarket - £128 ex VAT (no foam)
rightcase - £122 ex VAT (no foam)

rightcase are usually good on p&p rates (not that i use that, theyre 100m from work lol)

:)

They are pretty much identical and Peli bought Hardigg a while back. Theyre both waterproof, have the pressure equalizer, have wheels a handle..... and they are almost the same sizes. I personally got the Storm case for my Think Tank bag as it was a second hand bargain at the time and i 'think' it is slightly larger overall. What i would say is i was surprised at how much i couldnt fit in. I removed the divider set as it took up too much room in favor of the think tank Airport Ultralight (v1) that is designed to fit in the 1510/2500. It takes up less room than the dividers and gives you the option to remove it as its a rucksack. My reasoning was for a trip to the US and i needed to fit my essential gear into the overhead locker in case BA decided to lose my gear! For my second trip i got an Airport Accelaration (v1) which still carries the vast majority of my gear but without the advantage of wheels so it gets ruddy heavy!

I think i just about managed to get a 300/2.8L, 2x MK2N, 70-200/2.8L, 580EX, 24-105, and some cables, filters, TC's and misc bits in the Ultralight/2500.

I only looked at the 1510 to be honest as that was what the pw was asking about

Though it doesn't say on rightcases site what postage is.. casemarket is free postage.
