Peli 1650 soft alternatives

Anyone rate any soft rollers in the ball park size of a 1650? looking for my events rig to go in it as mutliple cases is a pita and also it will be my lighting bag, but hoping to save some weight over what a loaded peli gets up to

Think Tank are worth a look. Helen at snapperstuff sells the whole range. I have one of the airport rollers and it takes an amazing amount of gear

Another +1 for ThinkTank rollers, they are great. But the 1650 Peli is massive, so think the only ThinkTank of similar size could be the Logistics Manager.

waaaaay too small, the kind of cases I've been looking at are lighting type rollers, I know Kata don't make anything quite big enough (by a few cm). I'll have a look at TT but I'm sure I remember their range being all camera type cases, love the quality of my airport rucksack

Yeah, it is not cheap (then again no ThinkTank is).

Actually they are. Because you only buy them once

As I keep telling people....I bought a second hand Airport Security. The wheels were worn to bare metal. I asked TT if I could buy some new ones. "Nope. We warranty our products - we'll put some new ones in the post."

Just buy one and forget the cost.

Indeed, they are not that expensive if you look at it that way.
