Pentax 20-40 limited, what am I missing??

I was checking that lens out because since I am slowly moving towards Fuji I thought it might give my K-5 a lease of life but then I saw the price....

The lens is more expensive than the 16-50 2.8. I guess you can almost justify it because of the weight I thought and then it hit me. The lens is bigger, heavier, much more expensive and has a significantly smaller range than my Fuji 18-55 .

Really what is the point?

I have just moved from Pentax to Fuji.. Only really going to miss my Da*50-135 2.8

An Xe-1 with the 18-55 is less than the 20-40 and given its range and aperture would do a better job replacing some primes.

I still have my k5 and the 50-135 but it might all go when the Fuji 50-140 comes out
