Am I right in assuming that you already have the 18-55? I got the DA version of this lens (optically the same as yours) with my K20 and for a kit lens it is really rather good.
If this is the case and you just want something longer, then I would keep the 18-55 and look at the DA 55-300 which is about £15 more than the Sigma.

Hi, yes I do already own the 18-55. I also have the 55-300 and a 50mm prime.
The reason I ask is that I am looking for a "one lens solution" for family days out when photography is not the main focus. I have looked at 18-200 and 18-250 but wondered if the sigma 18-125 would give me a better range than my current 18-55 without compromising IQ as much as the larger range zooms.

The 18-250mm is actually a pretty good lens considering its zoom length and well worth a look.
I bought myself the new Pentax 18-135mm for when I just want to take one lens out and I am quite impressed with it.
A bit pricey but Kerso on here got one for me at a good discount when compared to UK prices.
