Does anyone know any dealers in the UK, I'm trying to sell my old pentax with the 3 lenses to put money towards getting DSLR. Its in good nick and the light meter has just had a new battery put in.

If you'd rather have a dealer instead of e-bay, you could try London Camera Exchange as they have many branches around the UK, and as they deal with used equipment you may be able to part-exchange your gear. Also, Mifsuds keep a selection of used Pentax so they might make you an offer on your camera & lenses.

Jessops no longer do trade-ins as they used to do years ago - at least not the ones in the Manchester & Cheshire area.

It wont be worth all that much... have you thought of keeping it! I had one as my first camera 20 years ago... for sentimental reasons I wish I'd kept it... I sold it about 15 years ago exactly as you did to upgrade my equipment... but now wish I'd kept it... would prob rarely shoot a film but would have every so often... and it was originally my grandads camera and he gave it to me... then even encouraged me to sell it to get the MZ5n but wish I'd kept it now...

Maybe yours is not sentimental... but these old fully manual cameras even look beautiful compaired to modern SLR's... even on a shelf!
 
maybe I will keep it, just picked myself up a Canon Powershot SX10, not what I wanted but will see how I go with it.
