Perfect exposure in video

Ok, so my pal (TomTomTom) showed me this video of a bike-mounted camera:

Anyway, I noticed that throughout the video, the rider, track and sky is perfectly exposed. How does it manage to do this? or are we both being slow today and missing something? is it that the lighting conditions happen to be just right?
your thoughts would be appreciated!

Almost every GoPro video you'll see is like this - it still baffles me! I'm so tempted to buy one.

That's wierd, only thing that I can think of is, like you say, maybe the lighting was just perfect

Going round a track, so the lighting will be constantly changing.

If you watch an outside broadcast where the sky is prominent e.g. interviews at a horse race, I think they must be using some sort of contrast masking process.
