Where does everybody get their perspex from for creating reflections? I managed to pinch a bit from work but its slightly cloudy (I think to reduce reflections as it was part of a window display), so its not great.

I've seen a few places on the net but are there any local places like B&Q that do something of the sort?

pretty certain B&Q sell 'acrylic sheet' , perspex was / is an ICI trade name :)

They do sell it but boy is it expensive, I needed some when the rear window of my car was smashed and a new window was cheaper...........

Yep, I use Homebase but B&Q is fine too. It's easily damaged though (dents/scratches/corners snapped off) so if you're working with small children, consider it disposable!

I've used this chap on Ebay .... He has loads of stuff, colours, sizes etc.

B&Q Buddy ;)

It helps if your looking in the right place for the right thing...

Can I ask the obvious question, but could someone post/link an image to show the purpose/effect of using perspex to get a relfection.

Cheers.

You can fake a reflection in photoshop, but acrylic is easier, it is on the brittle side though, polycarbonate is a lot better and tougher, but a fair bit more expensive.

I got mine from Focus, think it was about £14 for a 2" x 4" sheet. Mind you, mainstream DIY shops are usually pricey so probably get it cheaper elsewhere.

Bit thing to remember is to protect it at all time.... any marks show up like a pig over coloured backgrounds

Here's one I did over red/burgundy card :)
