Not too happy with the blown highlights, but here goes

They are a colourful bird that's often overlooked. A good pose and location too Mike. You mentioned the whites, and today was harsh with the bright low sun, still nice to see it and be out in it though

It is a great shot of the bird, the highlights are fairly minor issue. You could easily paint in some texture in PS. The twig on the left is really asking to be cloned out

Cheers for the comment. I was unsure about the twigs bottom left, I'll try a version without them to compare. I'm afraid adding texture via PS is above my computer skill level!

Cheers Neil - not a huge amount I could have done with the whites - when I tried lowering te exposure it caused more problems than it solved - never mind
