What a beautiful bird. Sadly, the article states that it's at risk of extinction because of poaching, habitat loss and climate change ...and the illegal exotic pet trade. That bird would be much sort after, I'd have thought.

The article (link below) states.. "Sadly, wildlife conservation in the Philippines still mostly takes place at grassroots level, with little effective government action to protect these species" I just think in cas.es like the Philippines international funding should be available to ensure the protection of the unique wildlife in that country which is made up of 7640 islands of which only 2000 are inhabited which should make conservation initiatives easier.
