Photo editing laptop suggestions.

Recently bought my first telephoto lens to get started on my sports photography. I only have a really cheap laptop at the moment which is used purely for browsing the internet and understand it will not do for photo editing.

Can anybody recommend a decent laptop? I've read stuff on pc world and techradar and they both think MacBooks are number 1.

Any ideas? Thanks.

£799 from Scan PC. Its a lot of power for the money, a Dell like this would cost a fortune, a MacBook with this power would cost thousands.

Photoshop and Lightroom don't actually need powerful computers at all, however for photo editing you want a good screen so I would prioritise that above pretty much all else. A SSD drive would be second priority.

If you have a reasonable budget I think whatever you go for a SSD is a must these days. Big SSDs over 500GB are expensive but something like GTG has linked to where a smaller SSD has the operating software and Adobe software on it and the HDD the images, unless you plan to use an external hard drive for the images, is the best way forward.

SSDs are way faster than ordinary HDDs and, with no moving parts more reliable.
