Hi All

I enjoy a bit of photography but dont take it so seriously.

So have amassed quite a stack of picks on the family laptop which are all Langley organised in the way they have been saved.
Basically a copy / paste direct into "My Pictures"

Not looking to do any editing re-touching adjustment or image tweaking.

But i am looking for a windows based application or piece of software that can scan through my files and sort them into a nice organised file structure.
ImageRanger seemed to fit the bill does anyone have any reveiw comments on it..?

Does anyone have any recommendations...?

If you mean all your photos are stored in one folder in Windows and you want new folders automatically created for those photos, I don't know of any software that does that automatically.

You could possibly use AI to 'vibe code' a script to sort them into folders by month taken or something like that

Otherwise there's various digital asset management (DAM) out there where you can import your photos and you can tag them with keywords or move them into 'collections' / 'albums'. Digikam is often cited as one of the best free version for this (https://www.digikam.org/).

Darktable also has a DAM and allows you to alter your photos too

I use lightroom which I pay for
