Photo paper problems

I just thought I would share this with you all.
I have an Epson Stylus SX215 printer which is mainly used for my office work but also doubles up as my photo printer. I have been having problems getting the photo paper which I had bought to feed through the rollers. I have found that by putting a little pressure on the top of the paper to enable the rollers to grab it sometimes worked, it only resulted in about a 25% success rate though because most times the paper just shoots straight through.
Yesterday I took it to the chap who looks after our computers and it turns out that it was OPERATOR ERROR! I had bought some supermarket branded 250 gsm gloss paper which he also had problems with, but when he tried it with original Epson 255gsm paper it worked perfectly. The funny thing is that although it is supposed to be 5 gsm lighter my paper is much thicker.
I am going to use proper Epson paper from now on!

its probably the backing on the supermarket brand paper thats the problem. Your printer can print bog standard thin plain paper which is only ~90gsm
