I am on the hunt for a new photo printer/copier/scanner. I have been with Canon printers for a number of years and always been pleased with the performance. I am now considering the CANON PIXMA MG6250, does anyone have any opinions good/bad on this printer, or are there any others I should consider. I prefer to avoid Epson printers.

Looking for best print quality and wireless a bonus.

Had Pixma 9000 Mk1 for several years......no probs, excellent print quality .....can't really fault it tbh....definetly worthy of cosideration imo although it will be the mk11 version now ...or maybe there is an even more up to date one available .......

Hi Jim

I used to have an Epson printer and swapped to Canon and have been very pleased with it and would recommend one every time - as you've been happy with your previous Canon printers, I'd say go get it...

Hi OP,

I purchased the Canon Pixma 6250, March 2012. I cannot rate it highly enough. Great picture quality, (and fast). Wireless also, although if you plan on using it wirelessly with a Mac/iPad/iPhone, you will need to download a software update to permit this. (Note this is not referred to on any of the canon paperwork, but if you google the topic, you will find the link.

Have printed photographs I've taken with my Nikon D90, onto A4 size, both colour and monochrome, and find the detail excellent.

To save costs, I recently added a CISS ink system, also recommended.

A word of warning, the finish on the printer body itself is very prone to scratching, even light scratches, so be careful.
