Beginner Photo sharing website? Whats the best to use?

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone would be able to recommend a decent photo sharing website? I notice a lot of people use Flickr but I see that you need a Yahoo account to sign up (which i don't)...

I don't mind having to pay a little for extra memory, etc... if needed.

How you finding flickr, I need to go on there more, i found a real community presence on there and lots of advice can be found, and gettin to see images from like minded people on your phone is fun.

My friends at uni recommended shutter bug especially for the competitions ☺

500px is good, but I find its for like, the really best shots you've taken where Flickr you can be a bit more liberal with what you upload

I treat my 500px like a "portfolio" account

Flickr, mainly for hosting to post to TP.

I do like Pinterest, though.
