Photobook. With a twist?

Not sure if this is the right place for this..

I'm getting married in August, and my fiance wants to create a photobook for her best friend. This will comprise approximately 40-odd pictures of the two of them growing up to the present day.

Now the twist is this... Some of these are prints and some are digital.

Can this be done? Can I get a book made from prints and digital shots?

Thanks in advance,
Nick

WOW! Quick answers! thanks all.

I did consider scanning, but I'm worried I'll lose the quality. I was thinking more along the lines of sending off a disc and the prints to let someone professional do it?

*Edit* she doesn't have the negs..

I've been scanning a lot of old photos for my mum and have been creating a Blurb photobook with them. Its not printed yet but on the preview they look just as good as the book I made with digital images last month.

a recommendation for blurb too, make sure you get the premium paper though.

the pictures should be more than fine, especially since the pages won't be too large or as suggested, take a picture of them with your digital camera!

Heard of Blurb and seen some good recommendations. Anyone know any scanning companies?

pick up a scanner yourself? they aint that expensive and i use mines loads because it handles 35mm negatives too.

Any reasonable scanner will capture all the detail. Generally prints tend not to be particularly sharp at least by digital standards.

If you know your way round photoshop (which I assume you do if you shoot digital), then you know how to process them to get the most out of them (if not improve them!).

I'm also not joking about shooting them with your camera. It will be just fine - why not try a couple?

Nice idea. Thanks very much, I'll give it a go

I've only got a cheap canon scanner/printer/photocopier and its fine. Cost about £70.
