Photobucket problems

Over recent weeks I've had problems uploading images, this is just using the standard Photobucket upload button, it just hangs, and has done so again today. The Bulk Uploader doesn't work either that just sits for ages then comes up with a message about "trust or something" but no dialogue box appears, enabling me to authorise anything.

Any suggestions or alternatives?

I have this problem most of the time, so don't worry i think Photobucket should update it's website more;)

mine does it sometimes too, but seems to be working at the minute *touch wood*. you tried using flickr? ive just created an account on there..x

I used Flickr in the past but with Photobucket you can use a more friendly directory and filename system, rather than the obscure ones that Flickr generates.

I changed over to Flikr for the very same reason.
Sometimes it (Photobucket) just refused to upload all, drove me mad.
This was months and months ago.

I've a pro account at Photobucket and have never had any problems. I like it it's easy to use.

I have both a photobucket account and a flickr account. Ultimately, Flickr is the better photo hosting site as it doesn't compress as badly as photobucket does. I generally use photobucket for snapshots etc at a maximum size of 800px as a jpeg, with flickr you can obviously go much larger and upload tifs.

Photobucket is a little easier to use for uploads and titles, but the new flash flickr upload is very similar and hasn't got adverts all over it (which annoys me with photobucket!) I also find the inbuilt EXIF viewer of flickr very useful. The only glitch which grinds my gears on flickr is the tagging box as the batch tag doesn't allow for commas and quote marks, which denote multi word tags and seperates them.

So, in conclusion if you want to just bang a couple of shots on the web of something you want to sell or a daft snapshot use photobucket. If you want to display good quality indexed images and possibly want to sell some from it use flickr.

I've just had another couple of goes at uploading today at different times, still the same click on the upload button and no response.

As I said earlier Flickr is less user friendly for directory paths and filenames when you want to post an image to a forum or suchlike, are there any other alternatives to Flickr

No such problems with my free PB account.

I started off with Flickr but the "old" sharing method sucked so I tried PB and liked how simple it was.

Flickr has more "social" stoff such as discussions going on but I like the simplicity of PB for sharing we sized images :)

I have a Flickr Pro and a Photobucket 'free' account. Personally i prefer the layout etc of Flickr, but in response to the OP's problem, my photobucket is uploading fine.
