Ok, bit of a long shot, but here goes...
Is there anyone near Cambridge who makes some money (part or full time) doing weddings/portraits etc... and would like to shoot some family pics for me, and I do the same for them?
Have 2 kids - two and a half and 2 months old. Love taking pics of them, not just for the album but to frame and display at home. One big issue is the problem of getting good family portraits. Limited on space at home, so can't use a tripod along with lighting, backdrop etc... plus, you cant really expect to get good pics while juggling babies and trying to press the remote!! Have tried a couple of friends taking pics but results are not what I would like. Was thinking, there is bound to be another tog near Cambridge with the same dilemma...
So, was hoping to hook up with a local tog to share costs on hiring a village hall or similar and shoot each others families. Have a couple of backdrops (2.2m square pop up black/white with train, smaller one and 1.6m wide white vinyl) and Lencarta lights to use.
Looking for someone similar to myself, someone who can take decent portraits, has decent kit too (especially if you have a wide vinyl backdrop as mine is narrow) and ideally knows how to use lights (I have 2 so a third would be ideal). Looking for a few formal style portraits and a few messing around ones. After that, swap RAW files and job done!
