Hey Everyone,

Going to be heading to Scampton on Thursday weather dependant, if you would like to meet up give me a PM :)

Just wondering if anyone had ideas on where is best to view from? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

They are practicing around us at Cranwell at the moment most of the time are they not?

You can get some great shots near here if you dont see them over there :)

Get the big 500mm out and can get them up close and personal when they are flying. :)

I was at Scampton viewing area last year with a Sigma 150-500 on a 550D and had some nice results with the combination.

The viewing enclosure is just up from R23 end and good for air shots but it has high fencing..
The field at R05 end has a barrier across it I believe because the farmer felt it was being abused by enthusiasts taking cars up. I don't know the current situation.

I also thought the Reds at the moment were temporarily at Cranwell.

Does anyone have a definite then of whether they are located at Scampton or Cranwell?
 
They are at Cranwell while work is being done on the runway at Scampton.
