Currently I am undertaking a unit 3 A level course and have been asked by the teacher to research this area for my project.

The route I am going down is street photography and would like to know any laws or points I should be aware of when photographing people in a public place.

Any good reference websites that may be of use?

There are no restrictions on you photographing people in a public place in the UK. You may meet some resistance sometimes but that is the legal position. Have fun.

The law says you can photograph a person in a public place.

Courtesy says don't photograph children.

Although it's legal to photograph a complete stranger obviously some will get angry. So use a bit of discretion or buy some running shoes.

I disagree, get in there nice and close.

It's part of the experience!!

and if you really want to annoy them buy yourself a Lencarta 600w ring flash
