Hi all,

I am getting a 50d middle of next week, and next weekend, i'm off to scotlands game against wales at murrayfield. I know some venues prohibit photography, but the ticket just says that prohibited items will be listed at the venue. I don't want to take the camera along if i can't take it in. I have tried finding a contact on the sru site but nothing has jumped out at me.

does any of you fine folk know whether photography is prohibited at the game?

thanks

Eoghan

Define professional - that is where the problem arrises, for most people anything other than a point and shoot is 'professional' regardless of what its use is

No-one batted an eyelid when I had a D40 with an 18-200 zoom on it for Scotland-France last year Eoghan. Then again, there was a squad of boys who had cases of beer at their feet and the polis and stewards did SFA!:D

Any camera with an interchangeable lens

Tell them compacts can have greater megapixels and/or zoom range than your DSLR does, foxes them every time. Stewards cannot use force (ie lay hands on you) to remove you. Police can only arrest or put hands on you if you are committing a crime, and taking photographs in a sporting event is not a crime (if you are pointing at the pitch and not the cute girl 3 rows down obviously), and they will not eject as policy. If you sit tight, refuse to be forcibly ejected, refuse to hand your kit over and do not shout or raise your voice and/or swear at the stewards/police, there is nothing they can do.

i took my 450D and 18-55mm IS + 55-250mm IS lens's to the last NFL Wembley, nothing was said to me and the stewards saw me

thanks for the info guys... good thing my jacket has big pockets! ;o)
