photography competitions

[hayley.price]

hey, im looking to start entering my photos into some competitions does anyone know of any good ones to enter??

I guess it depends on your subject, there are a couple of wildlife ones I know of.

But what I would say is check the terms and conditions very carefully when entering. Some competitions out there are really just a way for the organisers to get a ton of royalty free images that they can use as they please.

Do you want competitions where you win stuff or just for fun and to test the quality of your work. If it's the later. Digital photography school run competitions as do world photography forum.

If it's just for fun, this very forum runs competitions.

Many of the printed mazines like Practical Photography run competitions. Some are one offs, other are photographer of the year competitions with prizes for each round and for the aggregate winners
