I am thinking of going to the Lake District in a few weeks time. A friend told me there's a photography school in a place called Stavely run by a photograper called Annabel Williams. Has anyone been on any of her courses? A one day course costs about 200 quid. Is it worth it?

I did "The Big Picture" there a couple of weeks ago, I wasn't sure if everyone else would be ahead of me technically etc but I found it to be very good, excellent facilities, great trainers and we had perfect weather for the outdoor shots.

I learned loads and I have decided to use them agin for a couple of other courses later this year.

Let me know if you have any specific questions, which course are you looking at?

Thanks for that! I would be potentially interested in doing a course in landscape photography.

I phoned the school and asked them what kind of equipment I would need to have for the Landscape course. They said any camera would do, it wasn't important. But surely they'd expect you to have some kind of decent camera would they not?

I found an old thread on this forum about Annabel Williams and someone said that some of the tutors at her school didn't seem very experienced. All a bit perplexing!
