Hi, I am looking at getting my Dad a photography course/lesson for his 60th birthday. He has a DSLR but only uses 'auto' and therefore a basic course would be handy. Does anyone have any suggestions on where go or what we should be looking at? Will need it to be in the Luton, Dunstable Milton Keynes area. Have about £120 to spend.

Keep an eye out for deals on Groupon. Quite often beginner courses that can be had for less than £50!

Or consider something like http://www.phototraining4u.com as this will give him a years access to an extensive amount of learning videos!
 
You may also find National Trust (or similar) places doing photography days - these are often targeted at relative 'beginners' - worth checking if there's anywhere near him that is doing one.

These are thoroughly enjoyable days having done a couple. They can take a bit of finding on the NT website
