I've been given a free pass to spend 5-6 days away alone to do as I wish (mainly because the wife is off on a cruise in August!), so I figured something photography related would be good.
If prefer to go away in November as I've got a nice gap from weddings then, the budget including spending money is around £1000.
I'm fairly set on Hong Kong as I've always wanted to go. 5 nights with direct flights in mid-November is about £600, so pretty much bang on budget. The original idea was Iceland but I can't help but feel I'd be massively disappointed if I didn't see the northern lights, so would rather do something that will guarantee a load of photography opprtunities.
Before I book I'd love to hear any other suggestions. New York is a definite no as I've already been 10 times, as is anywhere in Norway as we're often there.
EDIT: I went to Hong Kong http://www.chrisharrisonphotography.com/new-blog/2018/12/3/hong-kong
