Anyone been on one? Who did you use and what did you think? I`m just having a mooch around at the the moment, trouble is you don`t know what they`re like till you get there!

Some serious dosh though for a week even in Scotland! I could just book and travel, but I prefer going with other photographers. I don`t know whether I`d get the same out of it just going on my own!
 
I went with Colin Prior last year http://www.colinprior.co.uk/photographyschool/ and it was fantastic. Every day was packed, from early morning to late evening. Colin himself was a patient and attentive tutor who made it fun at the same time. He knows the areas he uses like the back of his hand and has first hand knowledge of all locations used, including the best pubs post sunset :woot:.

I remember at the time that it did seem somewhat pricey but the level of tuition, accommodation and food was excellent (including us arguing for the local chippy so we could get on with taking photos while Colin fought for a pricey restaurant because we "had paid for it"). Also, group numbers are limited to a maximum of eight. Would love to go again this year if the dosh was available :(

Yep - I think EdinburghGary organises wee outings fairly often.
Maybe you could ask if there is any interest.

Expert advice on hand
Cheap (petrol only travel cost), sleeping bag, or B&B
Craic

Then you'll have saved enough for a relaxing week on the Algarve to recover.
