i'm possibly thinking of:
- digital phot magazine
- practical photography
- what digital camera

because of tesco vouchers, but need to look what each offer monthly

I always liked Practical Photography. :)

:agree:

PP is my firm favorite. Really well written. Has articles and advice for beginners through to semi pro, and great free gifts as an offer when you subscribe. (Renewed mine couple of weeks ago and it was a great kit bag).

As an aside - a post on TP drew me to this magazine: Linky which has now stopped publishing but is offering its last 15 issues for free to download on their site. Its a great magazine for articles (both film and digital) and I am very sad to see them go. But the back catalog is well worth a download!

I subscribe to both Practical Photography and Digital SLR Photography, the latter being by far the best of late IMHO.

IIRC both offer freebies for new subscribers but as I'm in the US I didn't qualify for them.

BTW, US photography magazines are, on the whole, cr*p. Lots of words and adverts, very little to offer inspiration, which is one of the main reasons I take these mags.

Like AB22 i subscribe to both Practical Photography and Digital SLR, and PP is the better.

Digital Photo magazine. ive been looking online and has anyone got any thoughts ??

I subscribe to digital photo and think it is great, it comes from the same stable as PP, so I would recommend it. Good on photography as well as photoshop tips.

You want to check at Quidco aswell for abit of cashback i noticed that Practical Photography are there going through greatmagazine link there are other magazines there through too ...dont know if get same free gifts etc: so check beforehand :)

I should point out that it's Digital SLR Photography not Digital SLR User that I subscribe to, they're chalk & cheese.

I subscirbe to Practical Photography and when I sold my 60mm macro to an old schoolfriend he threw in a free subscription to What Digital Camera (he's the reviews and listings editor)

I find PP to be the best, it has some good reviews, plenty of interviews and 'ride alongs' with different pro's as well as loads of tutorials and guides on how to try new things, it also covers editing and gives lots of ideas and inspirations of different things to try both indoors and out
