Does anyone use any number props when photographing kids etc? In my mind I have an idea of getting some really big white numbers, foam or similar, to include in the picture with the kids. The idea is that the number represent the child's age, just a little quirky prop to make the images a bit more interesting and hopefully when the kids are playing it might get some good poses.

I have found these and the price is ok but they are in the USA so postage may be a bit of an issue. So anyone any ideas where I can get them over here?
I have searched Google to no end and I just cant find what I want.
 
not really because they need to be durable and sealed in some way. If I were to buy foam and somehow cut it out myself then the kids would get their hands on them and tear them apart.

They need to be something like the softplay foam toys kids have that are safe to bite pull and play with, especially from a safety point of view if giving them to a 2/3 yr old
 
Good point, have you had a look at a company called studio decor seen them at focus they do a lot of props i know they have large number/letter blocks but not sure if just the number/letter on its own, worth a look.

This isnt really what I am thinking about as I want the kids to be able to move and play with them.
 
Looks like it might have to be the good old USA then, but like you say the postage might come to a good few quid.

I got that image from Denny Manufacturing but they dont even sell this type of number as far as I can see, they sell the type studio decor have!

Oh well gonna have to keep searching I think....

i went in the other week and picked up some really good stuff!!!
