Photos from a newbie

I am still pretty new to the photography world, and still working out everything on my camera, but here are a few pictures that I recently got printed out. I would really appreciate any comments or suggestions - I have to learn somehow

1. Here we have a New Zealand kereru (wood pigeon)

2. Sunset from my house - saw it and grabbed the camera - my frist attempt.

3. Some fun down at the river

Hi! It's great fun having a new camera isn't it? The splash in the river is well captured.

the last one might be more punchy in a blk/white conversion.

Thanks for the feedback, I might have a shot at turning the last one into black and white in photoshop. And yes, a new camera is so exciting!!
