I had been considering buying a wide angled lens for some time and after reading a thread on here about the Sigma 10-20mm I decided to go for that one. Here are a few of my first shots all taken at 10mm.I thought I might as well see what ultra wide looked like.I was also using a Jessops polarising filter.I am quite pleased with the results. The colours in particular.

Its a great lens, I too am very pleased with mine. You do need to correct the distortion of buildings though in pp if you want a realistic feel to the picture.

I had one, didn`t like the distortion that any UWA gives,so I flogged it. I tend to take multiple shots with standard lenses now and stitch them in PP if needs be

I realise that the ultra wide gives distortion but in some ways it adds to the photo. In most cases I will probably use it more in the mid range 14-16mm which will still give me a wider shot than I get with my current lenses. These were my first attempts with the lens so I wanted to see what it was like at ultra wide.
Thanks for your comments.

Be mindful that with any UWA that's in the region of 10mm, anything near the corners will look very, very skewed. Shots of people can turn them into coneheads :D

Other than that, don't worry about the distortion... that's what they're invented for :)
