Can anyone help with the photoshop I have obtained (ps Ima beginner).

I am playing about with one of my photos trying to erase the background,the hand icon (drag) is displayed and not letting edit, any pointers?

This may sound like a stupid question, but have you tried selecting the eraser tool?

Also, you may need to create a duplicate layer for editing, as I think the default setting will lock the background layer preventing you from working on it.
