photoshop batch image resizing

I've found out that I am getting a 7 inch digital photo frame for xmas. the pixel width was about 600x400 roughly.

I'm wanting to resize a huge amount of pictures so that I can put a lot onto a 512mb card and put them all on the frame so it takes up less space on the memory card.

Is there a way I can do a batch file resize of all my pics?

Plus, will the process confuse landscape and portrait pictures or will it factor that into consideration?

thanks guys!

I use a program called Mihov image resizer. It resizes the longest side of a picture, so if you want them all 600pix on the longest side, bung it in and voila.

In the file menu there is a sub menu called scripts. Go to image processor, its designed to do the very thing.

Also check out eazy thumbnail (free) it's great for this sort of resizing. Wayne

if you create a new action, select file>automate>fit image and input max edge width that should take care of things...
