Photoshop CS4 v Extended

Would getting just Photoshop CS4 on it own be good enough as what is this extended thing?

CS4 Standard is fine for photographic use, The extended has more functions for web and video. Have a look at the adobe web site for the different package contents.

Had CS3 extended for ages and never used the extra facilities it offered. Its also worth bearing in mind that it costs more to upgrade an extended version when/if the time comes!
