Photoshop CS6 training/books

This is a question for those of you who are learning or have learnt to use Photoshop CS6 effectively.

I appreciate that much of it is practice but, other than Adobe video's, are there any good books/video's worth purchasing? Also does anyone use any of the multitude of videos on this matter that are on YouTube?

There are tons of video tutorials or books for CS6. What are you looking for: basic editing, giving some punch to your images, special effects, photo montage, etc ?

Scott Kelby and Martin Evening for books, look at videos by Russle Brown and Julieanne Kost, and many other good videos on youtube.

I'm looking for a good "basics" book/video. I am reasonably au fait with the basics of Elements but Photoshop CS6 is so much more detailed!

This is perhaps a bit late but have you looked at the Adobe 'Classroom In A Book' series. I think you can get them from Adobe website or google them
