Hi quick question

I have recently downloaded photoshop elements 8 from adobe and find it really easy to use.
I am going to upgrade from the trial version to the fulltime version. But my computer is ready for an upgrade soon but not yet, so when i get the code from adobe and start it on this pc will i be able to just down load it again onto my new pc and input the same code to get it to work???

Thanks

Spike

Do you still have the serial and activation codes from Adobe?
If so I can't see that it would be too difficult.

Whoops, just re-read your post. You haven't activated the trial yet.
If your new pc is not long away I'd wait, just less hassle.

Best to buy it on CD then you can reload it on your new computer. Also you can probably get it cheaper.

Once you purchased it, it remains available on your account, to download, so you won't have any problems. :)

what have you found good about it, as i will want to try it when i get a new computer

Hi
being new to photography i tend to buy alot of magazines specially if they have a "how Too" about photoshop.
on my pc at the mo i have cs2 but when you look at the discs of how toos alot are done on cs4 or elements 8 and as you well know things change on the ps as upgrades are done and was finding them hard to follow.

With elements 8 it makes life so much easier following how too's.

I am not the sort of person that learns from written instructions i need visual aids to help me, all people are different, so i find it easier to use because of this.

Plus I cannot afford cs4 so this is the next best thing.

HTH

If I recall correctly, both CS4 and Elements licenses allow for 2 activations. This is to accomodate people who have a laptop and desktop set up. IF you are going to activate it once on your existing machine and once on your new machine you should be ok. However, with the program running, if you go to the Help menu, you will find an option to "Deactivate". If you do that on your old machine before you switch to the new one, you will preserve both your available activations. Well worth doing and take 20 seconds :)
