Hi there,
Can anyone tell me why...when I work with my RAW file, save as a JPEG, and get results like a horrible layered rings effect?? I work with CS5 and when saving from RAW to a JPEG I save it at maximum quality (12),where the rings are less noticeable and minimum quality (1) where the rings are hugely dominant. What am I doing wrong?

I think you should post some samples if you want help with this.

Does that happen with all your edits? Try re-installing the software.

As above, it would help if we can see some examples

I think I know what you mean! Even if you say for example use a blur filter and smooth it out completely, it still appears to have circular areas?! I would love to know the answer to this. I thought it may not actually view like that but once I opened one it did and so I had to go back over it and save for a second time.

How often and what quality & colour space are you saving in. Without seeing photos it sounds like you have some saving quality issues. Is it occurring it gradutated colour areas like say a blue sky?

Need to see an example, but one thought, do you crop your images when processing them, make sure your crop aspect ratio's haven't been set to a low number of pixels.
